What is the ruling on naming a son "Raheem" in hopes that he will acquire this attribute?
There is no objection to naming a son Rahim or Karim or other similar names that are used for both the Creator and the created. Nor is there any objection to pronouncing them Rahaim or Ruhim as long as that does not exceed the forbidden limit.
