What is the legal ruling in Islamic law regarding the registration of trademarks for alcoholic beverages by a company for the protection of intellectual and industrial property, where the questioner is employed, and is the salary earned from this work permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram), knowing that employees cannot refuse registration and there are no alternative job opportunities?

If it is known that the trademarks are for alcoholic beverages, then registering them and granting permission for them is prohibited, because it constitutes aiding in sin. Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate not in sin and transgression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." And if you are compelled to do so, do not comply, even if it leads to losing your job, for whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect, as Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect" and "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him ease in his affair." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, you will not abandon anything for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, except that Allah will replace it with something better for you." Provision is predetermined, and no soul will die until it has received its full provision. Therefore, you must fear Allah and be moderate in seeking provision. Do not let the delay in provision lead you to seek it through disobedience to Allah, for what is with Allah cannot be attained except through obedience to Him, and "And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth."
