What is the ruling on performing supererogatory prayers after the two rak'ahs of the Fajr prayer or before them, whether in the mosque congregation or alone at home, knowing that performing supererogatory prayers after the Fajr prayer is disliked (makruh)?

It was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "There is no prayer after Fajr except two rak'ahs." This hadith was used by those who disliked supererogatory prayers after the rise of dawn, in addition to the two rak'ahs of the optional prayer before Fajr. There is a difference of opinion regarding the authenticity of this hadith. The preponderant view is the permissibility of performing supererogatory prayers beyond the two rak'ahs, provided it is not taken as a regular habit. However, it is more cautious to limit oneself to two rak'ahs after the rise of dawn to avoid disagreement.
