Does the statement of Sheikh Ibn Baz, may Allah have mercy on him, that prophets are infallible in conveying revelation, and the Almighty's saying: {We will make you recite, and you will not forget, except what Allah wills}, mean that the Messenger, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, forgot some verses of the Qur’an and then remembered them?

There is nothing in the Sheikh's words to suggest that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forgot some verses of the Qur'an. Rather, he emphasizes the consensus of Muslims on the infallibility of the prophets. The temporary forgetfulness that might affect the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding what he conveyed to the Ummah, does not contradict his infallibility; rather, it is part of his human nature and occurs in what he has already conveyed. Nevertheless, Allah preserves His revelation and appoints those who remind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in fulfillment of His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, We have sent down the Dhikr (the Qur'an), and indeed, We will be its guardian" (15:9), and His saying: "We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget" (87:6). Thus, Allah's messengers are infallible from forgetting what was revealed to them to convey, and infallible from forgetting it permanently after conveying it, except for what Allah willed to be forgotten from what was abrogated.
