Is the smuggling of prohibited religious tapes into a country, such that they are seized and their perpetrator fined, considered a correct and permissible act?

If you sought Allah's guidance before undertaking this work and are content with His decree, then this is from the happiness of the son of Adam. Your bringing of religious tapes is not without two scenarios: If it is for trade and smuggling, then you have erred. But if it is for distributing them to people for their benefit, with your strong presumption of safety and the country's need for them, then this is one of the greatest acts of proximity to Allah. And whatever loss of money or hardship befalls you in this, Allah will reward you with the greatest reward for it.
