Should I leave my job at a restaurant that uses imported meats whose source I do not know, especially since this job provides sufficient income for me and my family, and I will not find another job with the same income?

Imported meats fall into different categories:

1. From Muslim countries: They are permissible (halal), unless it is known that they were not slaughtered according to Islamic law. 2. From countries of non-Abrahamic disbelievers (kuffar): They are forbidden (haram), unless it is known that the slaughterer was Muslim or from the People of the Book, and that the slaughter was carried out according to Islamic law. 3. From countries of the People of the Book: They are permissible, based on the Almighty's saying: "The food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you." However, they become forbidden if it is known with certainty or strong probability that they were not slaughtered according to Islamic law.

Accordingly, working in restaurants that use imported meats depends on the type of meat: it is not permissible if the meat is forbidden, and there is no objection if the meat is permissible.
