Is saying, "If such and such happens, then I owe such and such to Allah," considered an oath of obstinacy even if the person says it while fully content?

The phrase "If such and such occurs, then I owe such and such to Allah" could be a vow of persistence and anger (nadhru lajaj wa ghadab) or a vow of obedience and piety (nadhru ta'ah wa tabarrur). The difference between them lies in the intention of the one making the vow. If he intends to draw closer to Allah and show obedience, it is a vow of piety. If he intends to prevent or encourage something without the intention of drawing closer to Allah, then it is a vow of persistence and anger. Being pleased with what was vowed does not differentiate between the two.
