Is it permissible to purchase investment certificates from Al-Ahli Bank to save the academic future of a young man afflicted by sorcery, and will the money earned be lawful if he later works in a college position?

One must be cautious about accusing Muslims of sorcery without proof, for "some assumption is a sin," and not every misfortune should be attributed to magic. Whoever shows symptoms of sorcery can perform legal ruqyah and turn to Allah Almighty, for every illness has a cure. Ruqyah should be sought from specialists, along with perseverance in the remembrance of Allah, congregational prayer, and sitting with people of knowledge. Investment certificates in the aforementioned banks are forbidden, and it is not permissible to consume unlawful earnings except in cases of necessity, which is not present here. Whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. Working in the college or any other permissible work, if performed diligently, its earnings are lawful and not affected by the previous unlawful transactions.
