Is lint and dust emanating from clothes considered ritually impure (najis), and does it render impure whatever it touches?

A person is not harmed by what afflicts them from the dust of impurity (najāsa) or impure clothes, because these do not possess the characteristic of filth, and because they are dry and contain no moisture. Furthermore, the small amount of impurity they might carry is usually difficult to guard against. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, al-Khaṭīb al-Shirbīnī, and al-Mardāwī all mentioned that a small amount of impurity's smoke, dust, and vapor is excused.
