What are the benefits of this Hadith?

Among the benefits derived from the hadith are the simple life of the Companions and the fact that some women owned only one garment. It also shows the obligation to remove menstrual blood, which is impure, from a garment by rubbing it with a fingernail after moistening it with saliva, due to its effectiveness in removing the color of blood. There is no prescribed number of washes to remove impurity; rather, what is required is thorough cleansing. This hadith has been used to argue that water is not specifically designated for removing impurity, but this argument has been refuted by the possibility that the intention was to remove the trace of blood first, then wash it with water. This is confirmed by Asma's hadith: "She scrapes it off, then rubs it with water."
