What is the ruling on working in programming an application for publishing videos, if it includes films and plays, and is the income earned from this work permissible or impermissible?

The basic principle in software development is permissibility. However, it becomes forbidden to develop software if it is known that it will be used for an unlawful purpose, or if it is known that it will be used for unlawful purposes among programs that can be used for both lawful and unlawful ends. As for the salary received by the developer, its unlawfulness is not decreed, because the benefit itself is permissible. However, the wages of the team that uploaded the unlawful videos and the team that will display them are not permissible for them, because their work itself is unlawful. They must dispose of these earnings by spending them on charitable causes and repenting to Allah.
