What is the ruling on a one-time congregational night vigil (Qiyam al-Layl) during a trip with students, and what is its evidence?

Praying Qiyam al-Layl (night vigil prayer) in congregation outside of Ramadan is permissible, provided it is not done habitually. This is supported by what is authentically reported in the Sahih collections regarding the Prophet's ﷺ prayer with the Companions during Qiyam al-Layl, such as the prayers of Ibn Abbas, Ibn Mas'ud, and Hudhayfah behind him, as well as his prayer in the house of Anas with Anas, a young boy, and Umm Sulaym behind him.
