What is incumbent upon someone who found an abandoned shopping cart, which remained in his possession for years, and now wishes to return it to a store where men and women intermingle at work?

A woman's work outside her home is not absolutely forbidden. If her work in the aforementioned shop is forbidden, this does not mean that the shop's money is permissible for anyone who wishes to take it, because "your wealth is forbidden to you." If a Muslim takes another's money without right, and then wishes to repent, his repentance is not valid unless he returns the money to its owner or seeks his forgiveness. Repentance from rights related to human beings has four conditions: ceasing the sin, regretting having committed it, resolving not to return to it, and absolving oneself of the owner's right by returning the money to him. The presence of a trolley near a rubbish bin does not mean it has been neglected or abandoned; rather, it is a common practice among shoppers. Therefore, repentance for taking it is not valid except by returning it to the shop.
