What is the ruling on repeating ablution and prayer many times due to the emission of slight gas for someone who suffers from irritable bowel syndrome, and is it permissible to apply the fatwa of performing ablution once for each prayer in such a case?

One must distinguish between what you are suffering from: whether it is waswasa (whispers from Satan) or a lack of understanding of religious jurisprudence, as both are avenues for Satan. What you feel regarding the emission of wind, if it does not reach the level of certainty, then your prayer is not invalidated by it, because it may be a trick from Satan, as stated in the two noble hadiths: "Satan comes to one of you during his prayer and blows into his posterior, making him imagine that he has passed wind when he has not. If he experiences this, he should not leave [the prayer] until he hears a sound or perceives an odor." And "Indeed, Satan comes to one of you while he is in his prayer, and he takes a hair from his anus and pulls it, making him think that he has passed wind. So, he should not leave [the prayer] until he hears a sound or perceives an odor." If you are certain that wind has been emitted and it is continuous, such that you cannot find a time to pray with proper purity, or if its cessation is uncertain, then your ruling is that of one afflicted with incontinence (salasil). You perform wudu' for each prayer after its time has begun, and you pray, and what is emitted from you does not harm you, nor are you required to repeat the prayer. As for your fear of applying the ruling of incontinence to yourself, it is misplaced unless you know that a specific prayer does not involve incontinence; in that case, you apply the ruling of incontinence during the times when it is present and abandon it during the times when you know it is not present.
