What is the ruling on the Asr prayer for someone who performed ghusl due to a wet dream, then found drops on his garment and does not know if they are semen or pre-seminal fluid, and believes that they appeared after the ghusl?

If semen is discharged after performing ghusl (ritual bath), ghusl must be redone. If one is unsure whether the discharge is madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) or maniy (semen), then according to the Hanbalis, both rulings apply: the penis must be washed and wudu (ablution) performed (as for madhiy), and ghusl must be performed (as for maniy). According to the Shafi'is, one may choose to consider it one or the other. If these drops are discharged after the 'Asr prayer, the prayer does not need to be repeated; rather, ghusl or wudu is performed according to the aforementioned details. If the discharge occurs after ghusl and one is unsure whether it is madhiy or maniy, then according to the Hanbalis, the affected area must be sprinkled with water, the penis washed, wudu performed, and ghusl performed; or (according to the Shafi'is) one may choose between them, and the prayer must be repeated.
