What is the ruling on forgetfulness (sahw) in congregational prayer, and does it apply to one who forgets after giving the salutation (taslim) with the Imam in order to complete their prayer?

If a latecomer (masbuq) makes a mistake (sahu) in their prayer, there are two situations:

1. If the mistake occurs in what they are following the Imam in: They do not perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahu), and the Imam bears it on their behalf.

2. If the mistake occurs in what they are making up individually or if they make a mistake when concluding the prayer with their Imam: They perform the prostration of forgetfulness at the end of their prayer, because they have become an individual performer, and the Imam does not bear it on their behalf.
