What is the interpretation of the Noble Verse: (And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty)?

Certainty (al-yaqīn) in the verse, "And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty" (Surat Al-Hijr: 99), means death. The proof for this is Allah’s statement, reporting about the inhabitants of the Hellfire: "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment until there came to us the certainty" (Surat Al-Muddaththir: 46-47). What further confirms this is the Prophet's (ﷺ) statement concerning Uthman ibn Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him): "As for him, certainty has come to him." Based on this, accountability does not cease for anyone. This is the doctrine of atheists who claim that certainty is knowledge, and that upon its attainment, accountability is lifted. This is disbelief and misguidance.
