Is it permissible for a husband to fondle his wife's anus without penetration?

What is forbidden is the insertion of the penis into the anus. Anything short of that is permissible, provided there is a guarantee of not transgressing the forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade approaching women in their anuses. In the Hadith: "Accursed is he who approaches his wife in her anus." It is better to avoid this matter, for he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever hovers around the forbidden is on the verge of falling into it." The legitimate place for intercourse is the vagina, for Allah Almighty says: {Your wives are a field for you, so come to your field however you wish} [Al-Baqarah: 223]. Whoever engages in anal penetration has committed a forbidden act and must perform ghusl (ritual bath), repent, seek forgiveness, and not return to it.
