Is there any embarrassment in accepting a high dowry offered to a girl, knowing the Hadith, "The one with the least dowry is the most blessed"?

It is permissible to give a large dowry (mahr), and there is no maximum limit for it, nor is it disliked if it is within what is customarily accepted. However, it is preferable to reduce the dowry to seek blessings. It is also possible to return part of the dowry after the marriage if the guardian objects to reducing it, because excessive dowry can lead to animosity between the spouses.
