Should I marry a righteous and loving woman who is accepted by my family, but who is not aesthetically pleasing to me, noting that the matter has been made easy after performing Istikharah prayer?

It is permissible for a man to consider beauty in marriage, as it was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "A woman is married for four things: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion. So, choose the religious woman, and you will prosper." A man is encouraged to look at the woman he intends to propose to if that would encourage him to marry her. However, the criterion of religion takes precedence over all other criteria. If there is no religious, educated woman who is also beautiful, then giving precedence to the woman of religion is better. This is further affirmed if the family desires it.
