Is reciting Surat Al-Kahf on Friday and its eve a recommended act?

All praise is due to Allah.

There are marfu‘ (elevated) hadiths, some of which corroborate others, indicating the permissibility of reciting Surat al-Kahf on Friday. This has been authentically reported from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, which indicates that he had a Sunnah regarding this, and it was not merely his own opinion.
