Does a husband greeting his wife invalidate their ablution?

The ablution of a husband and wife is not invalidated by one touching or shaking hands with the other, whether with pleasure or not, as long as nothing is discharged. This is because it is authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, kissed some of his wives and then prayed without performing ablution. The contrary view is held by those who interpret the verse, "or you have touched women," literally, while the former interpret it as referring to sexual intercourse.
