Is it permissible to join the Hamas movement, and what is the ruling concerning one who harms its people?

However, whoever glorifies the Sharia of Allah, strives to support His religion, and combats His enemies in a legitimate manner, is upon goodness, and it is incumbent upon a Muslim to support him. Perfection belongs to Allah alone. It is not permissible to fight those who strive in the way of Allah to elevate His word, nor to restrict or persecute them, for this is a plot against Islam.
