Is prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) prescribed for the funeral prayer (salat al-janazah)?

Prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) is not prescribed for the funeral prayer (salat al-janazah). If a takbir (utterance of "Allahu Akbar") is intentionally omitted, the prayer is invalidated. If it is omitted unintentionally due to forgetfulness, the prayer may be repeated, provided a long time has not elapsed.
