Is it permissible to take financial compensation for paying traffic fines on behalf of clients?

Paying traffic fines on behalf of others for a specified fee is permissible, and it falls under the category of ijarah (leasing/hiring) or ja'alah (reward/stipend). However, not specifying the fee and merely accepting what the client pays is impermissible due to the presence of gharar (excessive uncertainty), unless the fee is customarily known in a way that prevents dispute. It is obligatory to specify the fee at the time of the contract. Ignorance of the price or the object of exchange invalidates the contract. If the fee is not specified, then you are entitled to a fair market wage (ajr al-mithl).
