Is it true what was reported from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the first innovation (bid'ah) that occurred after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was satiety?

The narration "The first innovation that occurred after the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was gluttony" attributed to Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, has not been authentically established. It has been reported with a different wording but with a weak chain of transmission.

The meaning of describing "gluttony" as an innovation, if it were authentic, would refer to a new behavior that did not exist during the era of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who encouraged not overeating.

As for the first innovation to appear in Islam, it was the innovation of the Kharijites, who unjustly declared Muslims to be disbelievers. This innovation occurred during the caliphate of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him.
