What is the Sharia ruling regarding preachers who do not commit to growing a beard and do not answer when asked about the reason for this?
"The ruling on growing the beard has been discussed previously. Preachers (Du'at) to Allah should be the first to comply with obligations. However, a preacher who shaves his beard might have an excuse, or he might follow an opinion that does not deem it forbidden, or he might be negligent in this matter. This does not prevent the acceptance of the good he calls to. The one being called (al-mad'u) should not make the shaving of the beard a reason for not accepting the good from the preacher. One must not imitate the shaving of the beard or other transgressions, for the absolute role model is the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him."
