The answer

Traveling through time by moving through time itself, to visit the past or see the future, is not possible because only Allah knows the unseen. Time is merely a mathematical function that cannot be separated for travel; rather, it can be long or short compared to other times, as happened during the days of the Dajjal and in the story of Yusha' ibn Nun. However, if it refers to space travel and shortening time, this is possible, and it occurred to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during the Mi'raj (ascension), and humans may yet discover methods of transportation that exceed the speed of light.
