What is the ruling of Islam on the subject of horoscopes?

It is not permissible to read horoscopes to know the future unseen, because the unseen belongs to Allah alone, as stated in His saying: "Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone," and His saying: "Say, 'None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah.'"
