The answer

A Muslim performs good deeds because he is obligated to do so by Allah, and he does not abandon them by relying on divine decree, for his shortcomings in acts of worship may lead to punishment. The states: "Do deeds, for everyone will be facilitated in doing that for which he was created." Thus, deeds and obligations are incumbent, and everyone is facilitated in doing that for which he was created.
