What is the ruling on daily doubt concerning prayer (Salat), ablution (Wudu), and purity (Taharah), and should one perform the prostration of forgetfulness (Sujud as-Sahw) after the Taslim (salutation of peace) or not, and how can one get rid of these doubts?

Compulsive doubt (al-shakk al-mustankah), which is an abundance of doubts and obsessive whispers (waswasa), necessitates alleviation for the one experiencing it. Therefore, prostration of forgetfulness (sujud (definition) al-sahw) is not obligatory for him; rather, it is recommended according to the Maliki school, and it is not legislated for him according to the Hanbali school. The most important way to get rid of it is to distract oneself and turn away from it.
