Is denying the author's moral rights considered an act of disbelief (kufr), based on the premise that it is a matter known by necessity from religion?

Pirating software is not related to disbelief (kufr); rather, it is a subtle jurisprudential issue. Whoever believes lawful that which has been unanimously deemed unlawful and whose ruling has become apparent among Muslims has committed an act of disbelief (kafara). It is better to abandon such thoughts and to refrain from pirating anything that is not authorized for duplication, as this is safer and more protective of one's faith. There is no blame on one who follows the fatwa (definition) of someone whose knowledge and piety they trust, provided they are not merely seeking out dispensations (rukhsa), and they have an excuse due to their ignorance.
