Is helping a person who is subjected to severe harassment and attempts to turn him away from his religion and cause him to fall into disbelief considered a victory for the religion of Allah, especially since he endures this in defense of his faith?

The support of a Muslim for his oppressed brother is a religious obligation, and it is considered a form of supporting the religion, enjoining good, and forbidding evil. Many texts have been narrated concerning its virtue, urging it and warning against abandoning it. The obligation of this support is conditional on being able to provide it and being safe from significant harm to oneself. It is not demanded from the incapable or from one who fears certain or probable harm. If supporting would lead to greater injustices or bigger corruptions, then it is not permissible.
