Is it considered apostasy or a renunciation of Islam if someone says "You made me hate prayer" after being awakened for it?
Disliking prayer is an act of disbelief (kufr), based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered their deeds worthless﴾. Therefore, your friend's statement: "You made me dislike prayer" is reprehensible. If he was truthful and aware of what he was saying, then he has committed an act of disbelief. If he was lying, then he has committed a sin. A word might be disbelief, but the speaker might not be deemed a disbeliever if there is an impediment, such as ignorance or lack of intent, like extreme joy or anger that impairs consciousness. Your friend should be advised to repent and to be wary of such words due to their grave danger.
