The answer

A Muslim must praise Allah Almighty for His enabling him to obey, and ask Him for more help and gratitude, for steadfastness in good is the greatest honor after faith in Allah. As for your feeling that you worship Allah as He should be worshipped, if it stems from self-admiration, then it is debilitating for deeds and destructive. One of its pitfalls is that a servant magnifies his acts of worship and forgets Allah's enablement, and it may lead to slackness in striving due to his belief that he has succeeded and become self-sufficient. However, if it does not stem from self-admiration, it is a type of waswas (whisper from Satan) that must be ignored, and one should continue on the path of steadfastness and adherence to the (Islamic law) while being keen on sincerity to Allah.
