Is Allah Almighty limited or unlimited?!

The names and attributes of Allah are Tawqifi (revealed and not subject to human reasoning). However, the scope of informing about Allah Almighty is wider. Thus, it is permissible to inform about Him using terms like "the Thing," "the Existent," and "the Self-Subsisting." Scholars have condemned the use of newly coined, ambiguous terms, whether in negation or affirmation, without seeking clarification, because the Lawgiver has stipulated what protects from perils, and everything a Muslim needs is found in the Quran and Sunnah (definition). It is permissible to use a newly coined term when there is a need to convey a well-established meaning, such as the term "limit" (حد). Affirming a limit for Allah means that He, glory be to Him, is separate from His creation by a clear demarcation, and this is a sound meaning. Affirming a limit for Allah does not mean that creation encompasses Him with knowledge, for Allah has a limit that no one knows but Him, and He is upon His Throne above His heavens.
