Is it a hadith that whoever invokes blessings upon a prophet, their prayer becomes null and void?

There is no basis for the aforementioned hadith (definition), "Whoever invokes blessings upon a prophet other than the Prophet (peace be upon him), his prayer is invalidated." It is not known to have been stated by any jurist or scholar. Rather, what is transmitted is, "There is no prayer for one who does not invoke blessings upon the Prophet," which is a weak hadith by the consensus of the hadith scholars. Invoking blessings upon all prophets and messengers is legislated, and this has been agreed upon by more than one scholar. This is supported by the hadith, "Invoke blessings upon Allah's prophets and messengers, for Allah sent them as He sent me." This hadith has been both graded as hasan (definition) (good) and da'if (weak). However, invoking blessings upon the prophets is not legislated within the prayer in the same way it is legislated for the Prophet (peace be upon him). The statement that the prayer of one who invokes blessings upon another prophet is invalidated is a baseless claim not mentioned by any of the Imams.
