The disbelief (kufr) mentioned in At- (verses 65-66) is the major disbelief (al-kufr al-akbar) that expels one from the fold of Islam. This is because mocking Allah, His verses, and His Messenger contradicts the very foundation of the religion, which is built upon the glorification of Allah, His religion, and His messengers.
