The answer

Previously, the criterion for prohibited names was explained, and that the best names are those that signify servitude to Allah the Almighty. It appears that there is no objection to naming (a child) Maryan, as it is a place between Mecca and Medina that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed through.
