To reform a husband who commits evil deeds, the following is recommended: frequently supplicating, consistently advising him and reminding him of Allah and the Day of Judgment, and explaining the importance of prayer and the prohibition of cursing and swearing. It is also preferable to seek help from a wise family member to advise and control him, and to emphasize the husband's obligation to provide for his family. If the husband does not straighten out after all of this, there is no sin in seeking a divorce, after performing (prayer for guidance) and seeking consultation.
