Does the act of masturbating once, with uncertainty about the emission of semen, count as puberty?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
A person is not considered to have reached puberty merely by masturbating or experiencing arousal. Rather, one of the legally recognized signs of puberty must be present, and puberty is only confirmed with certainty. One must also be careful to avoid masturbation and watching pornography, as these are forbidden and have many harms. It is advised to abandon them before puberty. Sleeping on the stomach is disliked unless there is an excuse.
