What is the ruling on publishing video clips that call to Islam and contain women or music, and what is the ruling on publishing the frequency of an English-language religious channel that shows veiled women, with the exception of the face and hands, and contains music?
Publishing music clips and images of women within Islamic content, and directing people to channels that include such material, is an error and an offense. This is because listening to music is impermissible, and therefore, it is not permissible to assist in it or cause it to happen. These matters are forbidden due to their inclusion of impermissible elements. Any benefit they might contain does not justify committing forbidden acts; rather, the benefit can be obtained through other permissible means. One must be careful to conduct da'wah (invitation to Islam) and spread good only through what has been confirmed as legislated.
