What is the ruling on taking a music course (instrumental and vocal) in foreign schools if graduation depends on it?

Al-Bukhari and others narrated a hadith (definition) that stipulates the prohibition of musical instruments (ma'azif) in all their types and forms, both in use and listening. Based on this, it is not permissible to attend music classes in schools. An unbeliever has no authority over a Muslim to command him to do something unlawful. Music class is not essential in the schools of unbelievers, and their threat of not graduating aims to frighten you. You must insist on your Islamic stance and write a letter to the school administration stating that your religion forbids you from this act, and that it is your right to refrain from anything that conflicts with it. It is not permissible to compromise any part of your religion.
