Is it permissible to supplicate for repentance and martyrdom together, following the example of Pharaoh's sorcerers?

Asking Allah for repentance and martyrdom are good deeds. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would seek forgiveness and repent a hundred times in a single gathering. And whoever sincerely asks for martyrdom attains the status of martyrs, even if he dies on his bed. Similarly, the sorcerers of Pharaoh are considered among the righteous.
