What is the ruling on publishing poetry that contains blatant shirk, obscene descriptions, attacks on scholars, linking death to martyrdom, and prostration to other than Allah, for the purpose of warning and supplicating for the poet's repentance?
These verses involve mockery of Allah and His signs, and attributing His exclusive right to others, which is blatant disbelief. In addition, they contain sarcasm towards scholars and belittlement of their status. One who transmits disbelief is not a disbeliever, so there is no harm in transmitting these falsehoods to warn against them and their author. Indeed, warning against such things is obligatory. If the speaker is unknown, it is not wise to publicize his matter online; rather, it is better to warn against him to the extent that the objective is achieved. It is obligatory for anyone who can, to advise the speaker of these verses, call him to repentance, and explain the truth to him in a good manner.
