The question

Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) adhere to reciting all the post-prayer dhikr after prayer, all the evening dhikr in the evening, and all the pre-sleep dhikr and others, or did he choose among them? And what is the Sunnah regarding that?

The answer

Dhikr (remembrance of God) is established by the verbal or active , and both are part of the Sunnah that a Muslim should preserve. It is not necessary for dhikr to be established by both methods simultaneously to be legislated. A Muslim should strive to perform the forms of dhikr that are authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as much as possible, and the more one performs them, the greater their reward will be. If circumstances become constrained, one should prioritize what is more important and better, such as preferring the most authentic over the authentic, and that which yields a greater reward over others.
