Is it permissible to prioritize the linguistic origin over the interpretations of Ibn Abbas and the interpretations of the Salaf when understanding the difficult words of the Quran, taking into consideration the saying of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: "Seek the understanding of what is unclear to you from the difficult words of the Quran from poetry"?

The linguistic interpretation of the Holy Quran is the elucidation of its meanings based on what has been transmitted in the Arabic language, and knowledge of the Arabic language is essential for understanding the Holy Quran. The Salaf (early Muslims) paid great attention to using language as evidence in interpreting the Quran, whether by stating the linguistic meaning of a word or by citing poetry and prose. Despite its importance, language alone is not sufficient for interpreting the Quran, and other sources must be considered, such as the Sunnah (definition), the occasions of revelation (asbab al-nuzul), and the interpretations of the Companions and their successors (Tabi'in). Neglecting these sources can lead to errors in interpretation.
