Does the pension of a deceased son, which was received by his parents, transfer to their heirs after their death, or does the right to it revert to the son's wife and children?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
If the retirement pension consists of the retiree's entitlements such as end-of-service benefits or previous deductions, then it is transferred to his heirs and the heirs of his heirs until it is exhausted. However, if it is a grant from the state or the employer, then it belongs to those designated by the granting entity, such as his minor children and his wife, and is not considered an inheritance.
