The answer

Scholars have differed on two opinions regarding whether the reward for , tasbeeh, and قرآن recitation reaches the deceased: The Hanafis and Hanbalis believe it does, while the Shafi'is believe it does not.

Accordingly, creating an electronic tasbeeh counter and dedicating its reward to the deceased: 1. According to those who believe the reward reaches: There is no harm in it, and it is an invitation to do good. 2. According to those who believe the reward does not reach: It is not permissible to ask for tasbeeh due to lack of benefit.

It is more appropriate to encourage people to supplicate for the deceased, as supplication reaches them by scholarly consensus.
