The answer

Reciting Surat Al- eleven times over the deceased is not from the and was not transmitted from the Salaf; rather, it is an innovation. What was transmitted from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is to pray over the deceased, then bury him, and seek forgiveness and supplicate for him after burial. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever performs a deed that is not in accordance with our command, it shall be rejected." And the about reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas eleven times over the deceased has been judged as fabricated.
